Job Description

Our Engineering Group is looking for a Controls Engineer for our Plano location.

Job Purpose:
Provide Integration and Automation solutions to our customers.

Job Duties:
Develop code and screens for various Control system projects from concept and bid through startup; work as sole engineer or part of engineering team. Commission, start up, and production support for plant line automation systems at various Frito Lay facilities. Work with analog and digital instrumentation, pneumatic controls and components, variable speed drives and configure and troubleshoot components. Develop Sequence of Operation, Sequential Function Chart, PLC code, Operator Interface, Communication networks for various control systems by interpreting electrical drawings and PIDs. Configure INSQL server at various facilities to do data Acquisition, and configured DA server to communicate with various OTTs; develop Operator User manual for various control systems, and train Plant Operators/Supervisors.

• Provide technical competence during project execution
• Help in the design and implementation of control systems
• Requires only periodic direction from the Senior Engineer or Project Manager

Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in engineering
2. Strong problem solving abilities
3. Able to travel 50% of the time
